Meet Brandi: Your Michigan Photographer with a Passion for Love and Adventure
Hey there, I’m Brandi – your go-to photographer with a wanderlust soul and a deep appreciation for the beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and the great outdoors. From lakeshores to riversides, and even the vastness of the ocean, I find inspiration in every body of water. Oh, and did I mention I’m also a proud dog mom? I love my pups – Buster + Gypsy! I miss my soul dog, Maverick, everyday.
Outside of work, I enjoy
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me soaking up quality time with my boyfriend and friends. As the honorary auntie to all their kiddos, every moment spent with them is filled with love and laughter. My favorite seasons are summer and fall, where I thrive in outdoor activities like side-by-side rides, swimming, camping, or simply basking by a cozy fire in the woods.
Now, let’s talk about winter in Michigan – it’s no secret that it gets pretty snowy + chilly around here! During those cold months, you’ll most likely find me hibernating indoors and dreaming up my next big adventure. That’s where my other passion comes in – managing a travel agency in Manistique, called Blue Diamond Travel Agency. We specialize in All-Inclusive resorts, honeymoon planning, and group travel. Some of my fondest memories include exploring breathtaking destinations like Grand Teton National Park, Alaska, Iceland, and Jamaica. My ultimate goal? To visit every national park in the United States, because each one holds its own unique charm and beauty.
How did I start photography?
But let’s rewind a bit – how did I get into photography? Well, my journey began in 2020, and by 2022, I had taken the leap to make photography my full-time gig. It was undoubtedly one of the scariest decisions I’ve ever made, but also the most rewarding. As another photographer once told me, “Congratulations, life satisfaction just went way up.” And they were right. There’s something truly magical about capturing the love and joy of my couples and families. Whether it’s an intimate wedding, an elopement, or a family session, each opportunity to freeze a moment in time fills me with gratitude.
One of the things I love most about my job is that no two sessions are alike. Each story is unique, and I strive to represent the essence of my clients authentically. My approach is relaxed, friendly, and fun – I want my clients to feel comfortable and at ease, allowing their personalities to shine through in every photograph.
