Taylor + Joey’s Marquette Michigan Elopement

Taylor and Joey’s Marquette Michigan Elopement, was beyond perfect. A day that combined intimate moments together that felt like an elopement, but also, celebrations with their loved ones they wanted to include. A full-day elopement is for you if you want, a stress-free day, time to be present, and enjoy the moment, and an adventure! Their day began at one of the most iconic locations in the Upper Peninsula—the Landmark Inn. Known for its historic charm and breathtaking views of Lake Superior, the Landmark Inn was the perfect backdrop for the morning.

Taylor, along with her mom and soon to be mother-in-law, spent the morning getting ready in a suite. Which was filled with soft light, setting the mood for the day. Hair and makeup were a great, relaxing experience, filled with laughter and anticipation for what was to come. Afterward, Taylor stepped into her gown and we captured bridal portraits, she is absolutely stunning.

Before leaving the hotel, Taylor shared a touching first look with her dad in the Parlor Room of the Landmark Inn. It was a moment full of emotion. As her father saw his daughter for the first time on her wedding day—one of those memories that will be cherished forever.

Ceremony

From there, we made our way to Little Presque Isle, nestled along the shores of Lake Superior. Taylor and Joey had chosen a spot within the pines for their ceremony, with the sound of the waves crashing on Lake Superior behind them as it was a very windy day. The setting felt intimate. Their closest friends and family gathered around, witnessing the two exchange vows in a place just so beautiful.

After the ceremony, we took family photos in the same scenic spot. The towering pines and rugged shoreline made every shot feel epic. Once all the formal photos were over, Taylor and Joey took some time for themselves, exploring the surrounding area. It was wonderful to see them soak in the moment and be truly present with each other, especially in such a peaceful and meaningful location.

As the afternoon started to fade, we returned to the Landmark Inn for an intimate dinner with about 20 of their closest friends and family. Dinner was filled with laughter, dancing, and drinks. Creating the perfect blend of a small elopement and a family celebration. The Landmark’s elegant ambiance made the evening feel both relaxed and special.

An adventure together for their Marquette Michigan Elopement

With the sun starting to set, we couldn’t resist exploring one more location—Black Rocks in Marquette. This is an iconic spot, with its dramatic cliffs and crashing waves, made for the most stunning portraits. Taylor and Joey explored across the rocky terrain, with Lake Superior providing a very dramatic backdrop. It was a magical way to end the day’s adventures.

At the end of the day, we returned to the Landmark for the evening festivities. Which included the first dance, and dances with their parents. Their elopement was the perfect mix of intimate moments and a celebration with loved ones. A huge reason why a full day elopement is a necessity. Taylor and Joey were able to enjoy a celebration with their closest family and friends. But also left time in the day to make sure they had intimate moments, explored new locations together, and got the feel of an elopement.
