When Marissa reached out to me for their engagement session at Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore, I couldn’t contain my excitement. It was the beginning of a perfect day filled with love, laughter, and breathtaking scenery as I embarked on an adventure with Marissa and Brent.
As May unfolded its splendor, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and the atmosphere was filled with nothing but positive vibes and anticipation for the future. It all started at the apple orchard
Our journey began with a stroll through the enchanting apple orchards, where delicate blossoms adorned the trees like nature’s confetti. Starting the day on Brent’s parents’ property added an extra layer of intimacy to the session. The air was filled with the sweet scent of spring, and Marissa and Brent’s smiles illuminated the orchard as they explored hand in hand, lost in each other’s company.

Next, we ventured to a picturesque barn that seemed straight out of a fairytale. It is located near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, which is perfect add on for any session, especially an engagement session. Its weathered facade and rustic charm provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the timeless romance between Marissa and Brent. Against the backdrop of weathered white wood and rolling fields, their love story unfolded effortlessly, each photograph a testament to the depth of their connection.
Last, but not least, Empire Bluff – a hike along Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes Lakeshore
As the day progressed, we made our way to our final destination—a serene hike to witness the sunset from above. The tranquil beauty of Lake Michigan stretched out before us, its waters shimmering in the golden light of the setting sun.
